Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and were later released.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.

The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
