The National Transportation Safety Board announced it is probing the jet’s service record, which was in Texas for repairs a period before the accident.

Flight tracking data revealed the plane was on the tarmac in that location from the start of last month to 18 October.

The units – known as data containers – were constructed to endure collision damage and extreme temperatures from fires, and they appeared to be in one piece when discovered within the remains. Investigators plan on examining data from the recorders.

Jet’s last recorded information showed an elevation of that level and a rate of 210 miles per hour prior to the accident.
